Welcome to CEGAThe Center for Ethics, Governance, and Accountability (CEGA) exclusively serves the Non-Profit Sector. We believe non-profit organizations (NPOs) can solve the specific issues challenging our communities today. We seek to make NPOs stronger and more successful by highlighting a strong commitment to ethics, governance, and accountability so that Donors and Grantors will view your organization in the most favorable light. Our mission is to create excellence among the small and medium-sized, community-led non-profits that are addressing local community issues. Our services only focus on strategic opportunities in ethics, governance, and accountability. We are web-based in order to eliminate the high costs of sustaining a typical membership-based organization. We do not serve national 'umbrella' non-profits with multiple affiliated organizations. We're committed to providing you with specific tools to enhance the success of your organization. We are respectful of your limited time and strive to be succinct in our service offerings.

Current Thoughts - January 27, 2012 So much has been said recently about being open and honest and acting with integrity. With the Republican presidential caucuses and primaries, the recent state of the union address, and the 2012 presidential elections just around the corner, it strikes me that CEGA's core values (Ethics, Governance, and Accountability) will be stressed to the limit in the months to come. Honor and trust and integrity are not even expected from our elected officials anymore. What a terrible shame. And Congress has an approval rating of something like 17%! What would you expect the approval rating to be for your NPO? With the old adage, "actions speak louder than words," each of us needs to make sure we are acting in the manner in which we are expecting others to act. We must walk the walk if we intend to talk the talk. Some months ago, Bob Shieffer, host of the CBS show "Face the Nation," shared some pointed remarks in his closing statement - words to the effect, 'when will they start telling us the truth?' It's a great question and sums up the importance we at CEGA place on the Non-Profit Sector setting a positive example - even for our elected officials. Rob Glenn
